Plettenberg Bay is a beautiful town on the Garden Route. It has unspoilt beaches, a major river mouth - the Keurbooms River and lagoon, and good restaurants and shops. It is the 'St. Tropez' of South Africa.

There are 15 kms of beaches, perfect for long walks, collecting shells and safe for swimming. It has become well known for whale and dolphin watching, as well as deep sea fishing.

The Keurbooms River has facilities to hire small boats to spend a day up the river - a rewarding experience! It is beautiful and the birdlife is supreme.

Natures Valley is close to the Villa, and has a beautiful mostly empty beach, indigenous forests and coastal walks. Closer to the Villa there are also Elephant, Wild Cat, Monkey and Bird Sanctuaries. These are a favorite for children's outings.

Plettenberg Bay has been declared a Wine of Origin region with many recently established vineyards and the local white is very good. Try it!
